It tells about Isaacs experience of learning to live and understand the world through hunting on the border between civilized world and chaos world. This short story describes a lot of plots related to ecology. This paper will explore the ecotheological theme of the story by analyzing the natural environment, hunting scenarios in The Bear and the outcome of hunting. In addition, the purpose of this paper is to reveal Faulkners deep thinking on divinity and the relationship between man and nature through the description of the changes of Isaac.
